Sous Chef – Multi-Michelin Starred Group Los Angeles CA
Salary: $70000 – $75000
Extremely successful multi-Michelin starred restaurant group is seeking a Sous Chef. Awesome opportunity to join an esteemed group in Los Angeles that is continuing to grow. Candidates must come from Michelin or James Beard background, 2 star ideal!
Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Leading and mentoring a strong culinary team, including hands on in the kitchen and on the line
- Collaborate with and support the culinary management team (Executive Chef, CDC, hourly employees)
- Proper ordering and inventory
- Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
- Keeping track of new trends in the industry
- Creating thoughtful food that fits the aesthetic of the concept
Sous Chef Preferred Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar position (Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, Kitchen Supervisor, Junior Sous)
- Love for unique, quality, locally sourced ingredients
- Previous experience in Michelin-starred restaurants
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
- Highly motivated, passionate, and have a strong sense of humility
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
