Small Southbay restaurant group is bringing on board a Junior Sous Chef! Ideal individuals will come from a mix of independent chef-driven and larger restaurant group backgrounds. Looking for individuals with collaborative personalities that enjoy being on a team with longstanding staff. Very low turnover with a focus on mentorship and growing leaders from within. 

Jr. Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Collaborate with and support the culinary management team (Executive Chef, CDC, Exec Sous)
  • Proper ordering and inventory
  • Foster a healthy kitchen culture
  • Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen

Jr. Sous Chef Preferred Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar position (Lead Line, Assistant Kitchen Manager, Chef de Partie, Kitchen Supervisor)
  • Love for unique, quality, locally sourced ingredients
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Highly motivated, passionate, and have a strong sense of humility
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays

Benefits Include:

  • Base salary in the $55k-67,500k range
