Regional Kitchen Manager – Independent Group Los Angeles CA
Salary: $100000 – $125000
Longstanding and popular local restaurant & bar group is looking for a Regional Kitchen Manager to join the team. This is a great opportunity for an operations focused individual who is excited about training, helping with hiring, standardizing procedures and ensuring consistency. The menu is dialed in and there is limited involvement on that piece. Multiunit experience required and Spanish fluency highly preferred.
Regional Kitchen Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple kitchen facilities
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining food quality standards, and monitoring overall kitchen performance.
- Hire, train, and manage kitchen staff members across multiple locations.
- Monitor food and labor costs across all kitchen facilities to ensure profitability and budget adherence.
- Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and service.
- Develop training programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent kitchen operations and employee performance.
Regional Kitchen Manager Requirements:
- 3+ years as Corporate Chef, Regional Chef, Culinary Director, or VP of Culinary Operations for hospitality group or comparable operation
- Proven experience in managing and leading a team of kitchen staff across multiple locations.
- Ability to effectively delegate tasks, provide guidance, and motivate employees to achieve goals.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities are essential.
- Sound understanding of kitchen operations, including food safety standards, sanitation practices, inventory management, and cost control measures.
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Flexible schedule is required as is ability to travel
- Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred
