Progressive Italian concept known for serving thoughtful, innovative and high-quality food is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to come on board. The restaurant is well loved in the community and busy, although dinner only. The menu boasts authentic ingredient-driven salads, pastas and mains– no pizza! Incredible opportunity in a prime location.

Executive Sous Chef Responsibilities:  

  • Support Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine in daily kitchen oversight
  • Responsible for maintaining proper ordering, scheduling, and inventory
  • Leading and mentoring a strong team
  • Maintain a positive, work environment via effective, professional communication with other employees and managers 
  • Execute dishes in a high volume atmosphere with a commitment to consistency

Executive Sous Chef Preferred Requirements: 

  • 1+ years of experience in a similar position (Executive Sous Chef, CDC, Senior Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager) 
  • Has worked in chef-driven kitchens in the past
  • Exposure to Italian cuisine
  • Motivated and positive attitude
  • Effective communication skills
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
  • California Food Handlers Manager Certification
