Salary: $75000 – $80000
Popular Westside neighborhood café is seeking a responsible, creative General Manager to lead their team! This westside staple is known for high-quality ingredients, certified organic coffee & teas, and a warm and inviting atmosphere. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Seeking a self-motivated GM who can establish systems, find creative ways to lead & train the team, and make an impact on quality service and guest retention. General Manager Responsibilities:
- Managing costs
- Guiding and leading the team
- Having a good floor presence and interacting with guests
- Creating a positive and fun working environment
- Developing a positive relationship with guests
- Maintain, support and promote company culture and philosophies
- Taking ownership of the business to increase sales and profitability
- Increasing brand awareness by creating marketing plans
- Setting an example to the team by providing excellent hospitality and service at all times
- Anticipating needs of the restaurant and acting upon them
General Manager Qualifications:
- 1+ years’ experience as a Restaurant General Manager (GM), Food & Beverage (F&B) Director, or FOH General Manager, OR 2+ years as an Assistant Restaurant General Manager (AGM), FOH Department Manager, Service Manager/Assistant General Manager, or Hospitality Manager is required
- Casual/fast casual experience preferred
- Proven track record in leading and motivating a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Experience in managing P&L
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
- Food Safety Certification
- Be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
- Develops relationships with guests to create & maintain guest retention
- Process driven and able to implement operating procedures that will continue to maximize efficiency
