Exciting new restaurant opening featuring fresh East Coast seafood with some Southern charm is seeking an energetic, polished General Manager to curate and lead their team. A trust-worthy candidate that can create and uphold the culture of the restaurant and take responsibility for running the FOH team. Creating systems and structures while maintaining warmth in an upscale casual environment- floor presence and guest-facing excellence is imperative! Opening experience is ideal.

General Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and positively impact all areas of the business including: systems, structures, sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food & beverage quality, cleanliness, sanitation, and other facilities maintenance
  • Ensure quality and consistency of all products served
  • Maintain positive and cooperative relationships with all vendors and business partners
  • Foster opportunities for the team to learn and grow and uphold company culture
  • Continually strive to educate and develop of staff as it relates to food, beverage, and especially service
  • Maintain a very strong floor presence and interact with guests
  • Create a positive and enjoyable working environment
  • Develop a lasting relationship with guests
  • Taking ownership of the business to increase sales and profitability and solidify memberships
  • Increasing brand awareness and membership by creating marketing plans
  • Set an example to the team by providing excellent hospitality and service at all times in line with company standards and values
  • Anticipate the needs of the establishment and act upon them
  • Be knowledgeable of company policies regarding personnel and deliver prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures
  • Ensure all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition.
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements

General Manager Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years experience as Restaurant General Manager (GM), FOH General Manager, or 3+ years experience as Restaurant Assistant General Manager (AGM) in a full-service, upscale restaurant environment
  • Opening experience highly preferred
  • Proven track record in leading and motivating a team
  • Ownership mentality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage guest demands
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Ability and desire to take initiative to carry out complex responsibilities with little direction
  • Highly effective problem-solving skills, especially when under pressure
  • Ability to thrive in guest service
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Experience in managing P&L
  • Flexible schedule
  • Develops relationships with guests to create & maintain guest retention
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Able to stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Process driven and able to implement operating procedures that will continue to maximize efficiency

Compensation Package Includes:

  • Base Salary in the $80-100k range
