Seasonal high quality Mexican restaurant is seeking a Sous Chef to join the team. The menu boasts conscientiously sourced ingredients. Actively looking for someone who can be promoted into Chef de Cuisine role in time. Amazing opportunity to join an award-winning group at the ground level! 

Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Leading and mentoring a strong culinary team, including hands on in the kitchen and on the line
  • Collaborate with and support the culinary management team
  • Proper ordering and inventory
  • Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen

Sous Chef Preferred Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar position (Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, Senior Sous Chef, CDC)
  • Love for unique, quality, locally sourced ingredients
  • Mexican cuisine experience
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
  • Highly motivated, passionate, and have a strong sense of humility
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
