Director of Operations – Nationally Acclaimed Restaurant Group Las Vegas NV
Salary: $110000 – $130000
Successful Restaurant Group with high volume fine-dining steak concept seeking a Director of Operations to oversee all restaurant operations and assume responsibility for the support of the management in venue while acting as a liaison between the team and company executives. The Director of Operations will work to ensure that all activities are consistent with and supportive of the company’s ethos and business plan. Additionally, this position has the opportunity for growth as the company expands in the Las Vegas market.
Responsibilities Include:
- Work as a resource for all Chef/Partners in the group. Nurture those relationships and help support their vision and create standardized procedures
- Oversight of a very high volume high end dining operation
- Create relationships with guests
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
- Train, coach and develop GMs
- Problem solve and work on site. Work to fix issues and train management staff to continue improvements
- Work to standardize any manuals or forms that can better help streamline operations through the restaurant
- Monitor restaurant performance to identify emerging trends and areas of opportunity, including new technology or service models
- Provide structures, support and training for restaurant and help evaluate potential opportunities
- Work to standardize any manuals or forms that can better help streamline operations
- Help source, implement, refine and streamline company systems (such as POS, Payroll, On-boarding, Catering, Reservations).
- Provide additional IT support to the restaurant especially regarding issues related to software
Candidate Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Regional or Area Manager, Director of Operations/Hospitality, 10+ years as Multi-unit Manager/GM, or Operating Partner (preferably in a restaurant and/or bar setting), OR 3+ years’ experience as a VP of Operations for a comparable hospitality concept(s)
- Experience working in high volume single unit of at least $12m+
- Strategic background with a passion for hospitality and the ability to oversee multiple GMs
- Must have reliable personal transportation, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Must be able to work flexible hours necessary to manage and operate the restaurant effectively
- Requires long stretches of standing, occasional carrying, pushing or pulling of items up to 50 lbs in weight
