Salary: $110000 – $130000
Michelin-Starred Coastal Californian Cuisine Restaurant is seeking a talented Executive Pastry Chef. The concept is striving for a second star, as well a first star for a sister concept. There is a strong emphasis on creative plated desserts and this person will have extensive creativity. Everything is made in house – even the flour! This is an amazing opportunity for someone to join an acclaimed group!
Executive Pastry Chef Responsibilities:
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
- Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.
- Ensure proper ordering/purchasing of products daily, specifically on weekends.
- Act as a creative force in Pastry menu development.
- Knowledge of chocolate and sugar sculptures.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to pastry team members.
- Responsible for ordering, inventory management, and all other aspects of production management.
- Address guest concerns/complaints and resolve them to complete satisfaction.
- Participate in all management meetings.
Executive Pastry Chef Qualifications:
- 3+ years as a Pastry Chef in acclaimed and respected restaurants
- Extensive recent Michelin and James Beard experience – 2 and 3 starred Michelin highly preferred
- Ability to think outside of the box
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work cohesively and collectively as part of a team.
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
