Salary: $70000 – $75000
Famous Chef-Driven Restaurant Group is seeking a Wine Director for one of their most well-known concepts. Serving delicious, high-end cuisine with an award-winning wine program, the team is seeking a talented, experienced Wine Director to run their program. Wine Director Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- 3 years’ experience as a Restaurant Manager, Sommelier, or Wine Director in a quality, full-service restaurant
- Chef Driven experience preferred
- Passionate, hands-on leader
- Ability to train and educate staff
- Creative and collaborative
- Must have a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Extensive knowledge of wines including characteristics, producers, regions, pairings, and service
- Ability to manage inventory while maximizing profitability
- Excellent problem-solving skills and always puts the guest first
- Detail oriented – especially product quality and safety, sanitation, and cleanliness
- Clear communicator and strong listener
- Understands and analyzes costs and inventory and course corrects as needed
