Progressive, fine dining California-steakhouse is adding an Executive Sous Chef to the team! Part of a respected independent restaurant group with a commitment to scratch cooking and stellar experiences. Looking for an individual from a respected restaurant background (ingredient-driven kitchens only!). 

Executive Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Provide exemplary leadership to the team while collaborating closely with Executive Chef
  •  
  • Proactively managing costs and budgets
  •  
  • Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
  •  
  • Maintaining proper ordering, inventory and scheduling
  •  
  • Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  •  

Executive Sous Chef Preferred Requirements:

  •  
  • 3 years past experience as a Sous Chef in a respected restaurant with progressive responsibilities or 1 year as Exec Sous, Senior Sous Chef, or Chef de Cuisine 
  •  
  • Extensive exposure to working with steaks and grill temperatures, past steakhouse isn’t required as much as actually having worked with chops
  •  
  • Longevity in past roles 
  •  
  • Previous experience in an all scratch kitchen
  •  
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  •  
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
  •
