Luxury westside hotel with sweeping ocean views is seeking a Sous Chef to help oversee the restaurantwith a focus on incredible dinner execution. The coastal-inspired menu offers its guests fresh seafood and locally sourced ingredients. Minimal admin!

Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Leading and mentoring a strong culinary team, including hands on in the kitchen and on the line
  • Collaborate with and support the culinary management team
  • Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Keeping track of new trends in the industry, especially within the healthy lifestyle space

Sous Chef Preferred Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar position (Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, Kitchen Supervisor, Junior Sous)
  • Prior experience in chef driven, James Beard, or Michelin kitchens is highly preferred
  • Love for unique, quality, locally sourced ingredients
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
  • Highly motivated, passionate, and have a strong sense of humility
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
