Executive Chef – NEW Luxury Boutique Hotel San Diego CA
Salary: $150000 – $200000
Aspiring award-winning property is seeking a talented, driven Executive Chef to join the team! This is a huge opportunity with major press aspirations. The property is part of a micro-boutique hotel group that focuses on unparalleled dining experiences. Ideal candidates will be coming from a track record of chef-driven experience (Michelin, James Beard, or Forbes ideal) as well as familiar with overseeing multiple moving pieces. NO hotel experience required!
Executive Chef Responsibilities:
- Consistent menu development and recipe costing in line with seasonal changes and industry trends
- Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Hiring and training of culinary team members
- Maintaining proper ordering and inventory and all other aspects of admin
- Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
- Oversee and own financials for culinary
Executive Chef Preferred Requirements:
- 5+ years as an Executive Chef in a chef-driven environment OR 3 years as a Culinary Director, Regional Chef, Multiunit Chef or similar title years
- Past experience in Michelin, James Beard, or Forbes 4 and 5 starred environments
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
- Creative, innovative thinking
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
