Ingredient-Driven Private Chef! Las Vegas NV
Salary: $80000 – $85000
Incredible opportunity for a Chef looking to break into the private chef world! The principles are familiar with dining at the top restaurants in the world and enjoy a similar experience in their home. Sourcing ingredients of the highest caliber is an essential part of this position. Candidates must come from a chef-driven background, with familiarity in Steakhouse, Italian, and California cuisine being highly preferred. No private chef experience necessary!
Private Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Private Chef team and take direction from Executive Private Chef
- Assist with preparing lunch and dinner as well as private parties
- Procurement both domestically and international for the highest quality ingredients
- Ensure food is labeled and rotated
- Assist with menu development, including taking the lead on daily menus in Executive Private Chef’s absence
- Communicate with the chef team and family in a timely manner
- Work in close coordination with the domestic team to ensure a smooth meal service
- Always keep the kitchen, refrigerators, freezers, pantries and food storage areas in a highly organized and extremely clean state, including washing dishes as needed
Private Sous Chef Preferred Requirements:
- Past experience as a Sous Chef, Senior Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine or similar roles in high level chef-driven restaurants
- Track record of strong longevity in past roles (3 years+ in most past roles)
- Well rounded cuisine experience with emphasis on Steakhouse, Italian, California or Spa cuisine (any Mexican cuisine experience a plus!)
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of professionalism
- Able to write menus that fit various client’s needs with flexibility
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record-willing to use company vehicle for work, as well as pass background check
- Able to work holidays and weekends
