North Country Classic New American Eatery with a warm community feel is seeking an Executive Chef. The Chef will focus on revamping and tweaking the menu in addition to leading and mentoring a strong team. This concept is part of a larger restaurant group and a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow!

Executive Chef Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development and recipe costing
  • Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Create dishes using only the highest caliber ingredients
  • Staff Management including scheduling, hiring and training
  • Maintaining proper ordering and inventory
  • Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Keeping track of new trends in the industry
  • Communicate with vendors regarding ordering, new product offerings, pricing, and all other product-related issues
  • Maintain a positive, work environment via effective, professional communication with other employees and managers 
  • Creating thoughtful food that fits the aesthetic of the restaurant 

Executive Chef Preferred Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position (Head Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or Exec Chef)
  • Creative, motivated, and positive
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Effective communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Experience in managing a high-volume business
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Proven methods in creating a positive and fun work environment
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
