Executive Chef – Michelin-Starred Restaurant Group Los Angeles CA
Salary: $85000 – $100000
Michelin-starred restaurant group is seeking an Executive Chef to help them grow! With a couple of existing restaurants, the group is planning to expand in the coming year with two new locations. This role will collaborate with the Chef Owner on R&D and menu creation. The vision for the group moving forward will likely be more accessible/approachable in vein with where modern fine dining is heading.
Executive Chef Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with owner on R&D and menu creation
- Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Hiring and training of culinary team members
- Maintaining proper ordering and inventory
- Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
- Keeping track of new trends in the industry
- Participate in weekly manager meeting and follow-up on assigned ideas and/or tasks
- Communicate with vendors regarding ordering, new product offerings, pricing, and all other product-related issues
Executive Chef Preferred Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar position (Chef de Cuisine, Senior Sous Chef, or Exec Chef)
- Astute financial leader able to maintain food and labor costs in a seasonal environment
- Passionate and operations oriented
- Love for quality ingredients
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety this is hugely important
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
- California Food Handlers Manager Certification
