Swanky Southbay modern fine dining concept is seeking a Chef de Cuisine (potentially Executive Chef with the right experience) to come on board! This neighborhood spot sources the best ingredients and combines it with elevated thoughtful service. Chef de Cuisine/EC Responsibilities:

  • Menu development and recipe costing
  • Create unique, memorable dishes using only the highest caliber ingredients
  • Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Leading and mentoring a strong culinary team
  • Collaborate with and support Executive Chef
  • Maintaining proper ordering and inventory
  • Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Keeping track of new trends in the industry
  • Creating thoughtful food that fits the concept’s aesthetic  

Chef de Cuisine/EC Preferred Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position (Senior Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, CDC, Executive Chef)
  • Steakhouse experience is a must
  • Love for unique, quality ingredients
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
  • Creative, innovative thinking and ability to introduce new ideas
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Experience in managing inventory and cost controls
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
