Join this award winning restaurant group that has been serving fresh café items and artisanal baked goods for the past 10+ years. Everything is made onsite using organic, high caliber ingredients with seasonal menu changes. The team is looking for a creative Executive Chef who is passionate about breakfast and lunch service that utilizes farmers market ingredients. Simultaneously, also embodying a progressive and strong leader.

Executive Chef Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing seasonal dishes using organic produce/meats/cheese, both with the day-to-day menu and daily specials (while keeping in mind food and labor)
  • Continuing strong relationships with existing vendors as well as sourcing new ones; especially those that use regenerative farming
  • Full responsibility for P&L accountability, including resolving issues in the budget (both food and labor)
  • Hands on with developing catering program through menu refinement and close collaboration with GM
  • Approach management as a holistic model, with involvement in development and coaching of FOH staff to ensure everyone is excited and knowledgeable about the food
  • Closely communicate with Pastry Chef on pastry program including team, menu, and food costs
  • Actively involved in hiring, training, development, and performance management

Executive Chef Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 years past experience in a highly ingredient driven café or restaurant as Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef
  • Dedicated leader who is committed to serving the team and has strong communication skills
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently without compromising quality. Excellent attention to detail.
  • Fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness and personal hygiene.
  • Regular, predictable and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers verbally.
  • Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
