Fun, approachable Southern California fast-casual concept is seeking a Director of Operations to lead their team and be accountable for overseeing all restaurant activities. Candidate will assume responsibility for the support of entire team including management and evaluate hiring, steps of service, HR, systems, and overall morale. The Director of Operations will work to ensure that all activities are consistent with and supportive of the company’s ethos. Additionally, this role will direct and oversee future planned restaurant openings. This role has the potential to grow into VP.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Nurture relationships and help support company vision and create standardized procedures
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Train all management on budgets and be accountable for the numbers
  • Problem-solve and work on site
  • Work to fix issues and train management staff to continue improvements
  • Work to standardize any manuals or forms that can better help streamline operations through the restaurants
  • Monitor restaurant performance to identify emerging trends and areas of opportunity, including new technology or service models
  • Provide structures, support, and training for new restaurant projects and help evaluate potential opportunities
  • Work to standardize any manuals or forms that can better help streamline operations through the restaurants
  • Help source, implement, refine, and streamline company systems (such as POS, Payroll, On-boarding, Catering, Reservations).
  • Provide additional IT support to the restaurants especially regarding issues related to software

Candidate Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Regional or Area Manager, Director of Operations/Hospitality, Multi-unit Manager/GM, or Operating Partner (preferably in a restaurant and/or bar setting), OR 3+ years’ experience as a VP of Operations for a comparable hospitality concept(s)
  • Strategic background with a passion for hospitality and the ability to oversee multiple GMs
  • Must have reliable personal transportation, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Must be able to work flexible hours necessary to manage and operate the restaurant effectively
  • Requires long stretches of standing, occasional carrying, pushing or pulling of items up to 50 lbs in weight
