Very popular, health-conscious restaurant is looking for a Corporate Sous Chef to join the team! This restaurant is a part of a small, but growing group based in Los Angeles that has a very strong following and many accolades. Healthy living and positive living are very important to this company! Corporate Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Support Corporate and Regional Chef with onsite BOH trainings during menu launches
  • Manage plating guides for menu new items and menu launches
  • Help the Regional Chef maintain and grow the internal infrastructure
  • Coordinating with the Regional Chef on beverage and bakery recipe costing and development

    Oversee and maintain packaging quality at the restaurants
  • Full development and understanding of all prep recipes
  • Uphold and enforce all company policies and procedures
  • Create, implement, and support kitchen efficiency
  • Ensure correct food preparation and presentation
  • Ensure proper food handling and rotation

Corporate Sous Chef Skills/Qualifications:

  • 3 years culinary management experience (Senior or Executive Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, Kitchen Manager)
  • Ability to travel for an extended period of time such as spending 2 weeks in San Diego – travel accommodations provided
  • Spanish skills a plus!
  • Dedication to excellent food quality and ensuring compliance with all health and safety, and safe food handling practices
  • Passion for healthy cuisine, including vegetarian, farm-table, and/or plant-based
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion
  • Experience in P&L review, budgetary controls, strict inventory and labor controls
  • Active ServSafe Management Food Safety Certificate
  • A flexible schedule: mornings, nights, weekends and holidays are required
