Salary: $80000 – $90000
Seafood centric West Hollywood restaurant slated to open in Fall 2022 is looking for a Chef de Cuisine to join the team! The restaurant boasts casual, fun, and approachable seafood, with high end offerings as well in a casual environment. This is a great opportunity for a chef who is excited about fresh local seafood and the opportunity to add creativity to the menu!
Chef de Cuisine Responsibilities:
- Menu development and recipe costing
- Create unique, memorable dishes using only the highest caliber ingredients
- Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Leading and Mentoring a strong culinary team
- Collaborate with and support Executive Chef
- Maintaining proper ordering and inventory
- Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
- Keeping track of new trends in the industry
- Creating thoughtful food that fits the concept’s aesthetic
Chef de Cuisine Preferred Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar position (Senior Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, CDC, Executive Chef)
- Seafood and raw bar experience
- Opening experience is a plus
- Strong administrative skills
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
- Creative, innovative thinking and ability to introduce new ideas
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Experience in managing inventory and cost controls
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
