Seafood centric West Hollywood restaurant slated to open in Fall 2022 is looking for a Chef de Cuisine to join the team! The restaurant boasts casual, fun, and approachable seafood, with high end offerings as well in a casual environment. This is a great opportunity for a chef who is excited about fresh local seafood and the opportunity to add creativity to the menu!

Chef de Cuisine Responsibilities:

  • Menu development and recipe costing
  • Create unique, memorable dishes using only the highest caliber ingredients
  • Ensuring that all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Leading and Mentoring a strong culinary team
  • Collaborate with and support Executive Chef
  • Maintaining proper ordering and inventory
  • Ensuring best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
  • Keeping track of new trends in the industry
  • Creating thoughtful food that fits the concept’s aesthetic  

Chef de Cuisine Preferred Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position (Senior Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, CDC, Executive Chef)
  • Seafood and raw bar experience
  • Opening experience is a plus
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment
  • Creative, innovative thinking and ability to introduce new ideas
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Experience in managing inventory and cost controls
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
