Assistant General Manager – Chef-Driven Italian Concept Santa Barbara CA
Salary: $80000 – $85000
Stunning hotel beachfront property in Montecito is seeking a talented Assistant General Manager to help lead the team at their award-winning, chef-driven Italian restaurant. Assistant General Manager should provide guidance and leadership, while maintaining an energized floor presence and support to the GM. Ability to deal with high-profile clientele in a professional manner is imperative.
Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:
- Perform all aspects of the job with a high level of professionalism and integrity

- Provide Support for GM and other FOH staff in positive manner
- Maintain positive and cooperative relationships with all vendors, business partners, and staff

- Continually strive to educate and develop staff as it relates to food, beverage, and service
- Ensure stellar guest experience in all areas
- Solve any guest issues in a timely and appropriate manner
- Oversee and positively impact all areas of the business including: sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation
- Ensure quality and consistency of all products served
- Ensure all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition.
- Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and deliver prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
- Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements
Assistant General Manager Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as Restaurant Assistant General Manager (AGM) or 3+ years as Restaurant Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, Dining Room Manager, or FOH Manager
- High volume experience is required
- Any prior experience and understanding of nightlife/ guest relations is highly preferred
- Ability to take and give direction
