Salary: $70000 – $80000
Longstanding high-volume bakery with a loyal following is seeking an Oven Supervisor to join the team. Looking for a strategic, detail-oriented chef who enjoys creating and managing production schedules for a large-scale baking operation. Great chance to work with a very popular and growing group!
Oven Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Oversee baking schedules within the facility ensuring production is on time and meets the standards of the company
- Ensure the proper use and maintenance of all baking equipment
- Oversee vendor relationships, purchasing, and inventory
- Maintain a positive work environment through effective, professional communication with other employees and managers
- Lead, mentor, and train a strong team
- Administrative tasks: ordering, inventory, scheduling, etc.
- Maintain exceptional standards of safety & sanitation of the commissary kitchen
Oven Supervisor Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience in a management role (such as Head Baker, Commissary Chef, Pastry Chef) in a large-scale production facility, bakery, commissary or pastry kitchen
- High-volume batch cooking using commercial equipment
- Extensive experience in creating and managing production schedules/timelines
- Hands-on leadership and excellent communication skills
- Organized and detail-oriented, especially with food quality, food safety and sanitation, and productivity
- Competence with systems and computer programs
- A flexible schedule is required: Early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays
Compensation Includes:
- $70k-80k, Paid hourly on a 50-hour work week + Bonus
