Award winning, acclaimed chef is seeking a talented Executive Sous Chef for the launch of their new project in LA. The ideal chef is a creative professional who values precision and leadership, thriving in a high-caliber environment and proving to be an effective mentor for the team. A strong background in highly respected fine-dining kitchens, Michelin-level and/or James Beard recognized, is required.

Executive Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Provide exemplary leadership to the team in close collaboration with the Executive Chef
  • Oversee kitchen execution ensuring all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
  • Proactively manage costs and budgets
  • Maintain proper ordering, inventory and scheduling
  • Follow and implement best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen

Executive Sous Chef Preferred Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position (Senior Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, CDC) in a respected fine dining, Michelin-starred, World’s 50 Best, and/or James Beard recognized restaurant
  • Passion for the culinary industry and love of scratch cooking and quality execution 
  • Proven track record in chef-driven restaurants
  • Knowledge of administrative functions and understanding of food & labor costs
  • High level of organization, precision and attention to detail
  • Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays

Compensation / Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary in the 90k-110k range
