Salary: $100000 – $115000
Esteemed group is seeking an Executive Chef for their beautiful contemporary Italian restaurant with a strong pasta program. By working with and building relationships with local vendors, this individual has the amazing opportunity to source the highest quality hyper-seasonal fish, seafood and produce available for the concept’s chef-driven seasonal menu. A strong pedigree background in respected and acclaimed Italian restaurants, ideally in the James Beard and Michelin recognized space, is essential. Relocation offered!
Executive Chef Responsibilities:
- Menu development in collaboration with leadership using only the highest quality seasonal ingredients
- Ensure all food meets top standards of quality and consistency
- Proactively manage costs and budgets utilizing the inventory systems and standard operating procedures in place
- Seek out and build on strong relationships with local purveyors to source the best product possible
- Staff Management: Fostering a healthy progressive kitchen culture, including hiring, training, and mentorship
- Ensure best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
Executive Chef Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar position (Chef de Cuisine, Head Chef, Executive Chef)
- Background in Michelin, James Beard or other acclaimed chef driven Italian concepts required
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
- Creativity and a passion for working with seasonal, fresh ingredients, sourcing from local suppliers whenever possible and keeping track of new trends in the industry
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Expert knowledge and fully fluent in P&L, inventory management systems, and cost controls
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and on holidays
Compensation Package includes:
- Base salary in the $100-115k range
