Chef de Cuisine – New Concept Opening Los Angeles CA
Salary: $120000 – $150000
Successful high-volume restaurant group renowned for a commitment to excellence and regional-inspired cuisine is looking for an experienced Chef de Cuisine (or Executive Kitchen Manager, flexible on title) to lead culinary operations at the company’s flagship LA location. Reporting to the Regional Culinary Director, the Chef de Cuisine will oversee a meticulously planned menu, maintaining high standards of execution and operational excellence. This role offers a unique opportunity to train outside of California for 6-8 months at another company location out of state before leading the Los Angeles opening.

Chef de Cuisine Responsibilities:
- Execute a menu blend of core dishes and regionally inspired creations
- Uphold the company’s commitment to consistent, high-quality food production
- Implement and uphold standardized operating procedures (SOPs)
- Proactively manage and have a firm grasp on costs and budgets
- Collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless kitchen operations
- Mentor and develop culinary team members in alignment with internal culture of excellence
- Follow and maintain best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
Chef de Cuisine Preferred Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a high-volume, upscale casual or higher culinary environment as Head Chef, Executive Chef, Executive Kitchen Manager (EKM) or Chef de Cuisine (CDC)
- Proven track record of leadership and team development
- Strong adherence to operational systems/procedures and attention to detail along with organizational skills
- Passion for culinary innovation within defined parameters
- Ability to thrive in a consistently high-volume environment
- Avid professional with excellent communication skills
- Fluent in P&L, managing inventory, and cost controls
- Flexible schedule: weekends and holidays
- Willingness to complete training out of state for 6 months
Compensation/Benefits:
- Base salary of $120k-$150k
